GETTING STARTED
Start J2EE Tools
Note: If you have problems starting J2EE Tools the first time, restart your computer. If you still have problems, reinstall J2EE Tools then restart your computer (see Download and Install J2EE Tools).

Double click the J2EE Tools shortcut on the Windows desktop.

Click underscore (minimize) in the top right corner of the Command Prompt window if you're using Windows NT.
Note: The first time you start J2EE Tools, you're prompted to install the archive files below:

Install the J2EE batch archive file:
-
Click OK in the Information dialog to install the J2EE batch archive file.

Wait until the install completes (this may take several minutes).

Click OK in the Information dialog when the install completes.

Install the Ant archive file:
-
Click OK in the Information dialog to install the Ant archive file.

Wait until the install completes (this may take several minutes).

Click OK in the Information dialog when the install completes.

Install the Ant batch archive file:
-
Click OK in the Information dialog to install the Ant batch archive file.

Wait until the install completes (this may take several minutes).

Click OK in the Information dialog when the install completes.

Install the J2EE Tutorial:

Click Yes in the Confirm dialog to install the J2EE Tutorial.

Wait until the install completes (this may take several minutes).

Click OK in the Information dialog when the install completes.

Install the J2EE Tutorial examples:

Click Yes in the Confirm dialog to install the J2EE Tutorial examples.

Wait until the install completes (this may take several minutes).

Click OK in the Information dialog when the install completes.

Install the J2EE project archive file:

Click OK in the Information dialog to install the J2EE project archive file.

Wait until the install completes (this may take several minutes).

Click OK in the Information dialog when the install completes. |
